I was an imaging scientist in a previous life, working with everything from nitrogen cooled cameras to magnetic resonance scanners. They have taken my big toys away, but I still see with a technical eye and regard a photograph as data - something that has a documentary purpose. That said, technical images can have a beauty all their own. I am fond of the biological images here, for example. These were made in the days when a 10 megapixel image was considered huge.
I use large format analog (8 x 10 film) and medium format digital cameras for most work. As a result, many of the images on this site are available at very high resolutions. To obtain a high resolution digital file in either JPG or TIF format, contact me directly.
These high resolution images are suitable for large-scale printing, and can provide high-impact visuals for boardrooms and similar spaces.
